Wind is a renewable energy that used for electrical in several countries. Indonesia one of the countries utilizes wind energy. The potential located coastal areas. To apply urban areas very difficult because speed low. From this problem, paper presents windmill using fiberglass. Fiberglass an alloy or mixture as composite material which has characteristics light weight, easy shape, and low cost. aim to analyze mechanical properties fiberglass materials application blades vanes savionus windmills. This study uses hand lay-up method testing tensile strength impact aims determine blade savonius windmill. Based on test, average random 200gr 2-layer woven roving was 49.52 MPa with modulus elasticity 21.88 Gpa. For Charphy 0.035 joules / mm2 absorbed 0.7046 joules.
